One of our highly-trained shutter design experts will come to your home and clearly explain all of your options and the difference between various types of home shutters. They will help you find the best interior shutters designed for your specific house. These specialists are all licensed and bonded.
Our experts will show you how custom-made home shutters are different from most window coverings: they are permanently attached to your windows. Because of the many different types of window frames, window styles, and personal preferences in décor, The Drapery Source has many different options for framing, finishes, colors (including color matching), materials, and hardware, as well as special options like stained glass panel inserts.

We provide you with a first-class education in shutters so that you can make an informed decision - even if you decide not to purchase your shutters from us. If you decide to move forward with The Drapery Source, we will set up an appointment for our installers to create a blueprint of your custom home shutters.

Shutter Blueprint Appointment:
At the blueprint appointment, one of our licensed and bonded shutter installers will come out to your home and take exact measurements of your windows and openings. We don't sell "one-size-fits-all" shutters; whether you've chosen wooden louvers or synthetic shutters, they are precisely made for your windows. Once installed, the custom home shutters will look like they were built originally as part of your home.
The Drapery Source does not use unreliable or inexperienced sub-contractors like some other companies do. Our custom shutter installers undergo at least six months of training before their first installation!

Design and Production:
After your blueprint measurements are taken, our production department takes over. Their first step is a thorough scrutiny of the original order form as compared to the shutter blueprints: they verify that the design and style of selected home shutter is the best one for the window, and that all the information needed has been collected. This is a crucial step to ensure that your shutters function properly.
Once the order has been verified and entered into our exclusive, proprietary shutter-manufacturing software, your shutters are handcrafted by experienced shutter craftspeople. We employ a manufacturing methodology that emphasizes quality while still providing one of the fastest turn-around times in the industry. Our manufacturing software ensures that your window shutters are built on time.
