People looking for green alternatives in home design too often find a sparse and fragmented landscape of choices.  The good news is that the textile and other window covering industries are beginning to adopt more extensive eco-ethical policies and products, and here at The Drapery Source we are doing our best to bring these products to you! 

Our commitment to eco-conscious design begins at the local level with centrally located workrooms and employees.  We believe that supporting local industry is an important part of environmental, economic, and socially sustainable resource management. 

Energy awareness is another important consideration for consumers and businesses alike.  Here at The Drapery Source, we offer our clients an array of choices in energy conservation.  Our lined drapery products, roman shades, wood blinds, shutters, and honeycomb shades all help prevent unnecessary energy loss and high energy bills.

The materials used in all our products are continuing to change and evolve as industry strives to meet the needs of the eco-conscious consumer.  Bamboos, reclaimed woods, and recycled metals are all finding their way into many of today’s window products, including drapery hardware.  The textile industry is also changing, and organically grown silks, hemps, and cottons are becoming a common choice for many of our clients.
