Our Process

At The Drapery Source, your initial contact will be Mary, who will assist you through making an appointment with a design consultant. Appointments are made during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday. She will ask you about the products you are interested in, the rooms and windows that need treatments, any particular color schemes currently utilized in the rooms, and any privacy or light control concerns you may have. Your design consultant will take this information into account when bringing samples to your home.

At your appointment your design consultant will review the many options available to you for your specific windows and rooms. Taking into account your budget constraints, your consultant will show you products, fabrics and pictures that will assist you in making a final decision. Then, you will receive a written estimate for the solution you choose. Should you decide to proceed with the purchase, 50% of the order total is needed as a deposit. The remainder is due when the product(s) are installed in your home.

Once your deposit is received in our office, Mary, the Project Manager, will review your order for accuracy and place the order for your fabrics, hardware, trims, and all other materials that will be needed to complete it. Mary tracks all products arriving at the workroom, ensuring that everything is received and ready to be fabricated. Once Mary receives notice that your treatments are completed, she, or your installer, will contact you to schedule your installation. Your installer will complete the installation of your window treatment investment and collect your remaining balance. Upon your request, the designer can be present at the installation. You can schedule a time for your designer to come to your home and see the end results!
